The 2025 North American CES (Consumer Electronics Show) kicked off, gathering some of the world’s top technological products as one of the most influential consumer electronics exhibitions globally. Xpeng Aeroht made its debut at the event with its split-type flying car, the "Land Carrier."

Wang Tan, co-founder and vice president of Xpeng Aeroht, stated at the event: “This CES is the overseas debut of the 'Land Carrier.' We have customized a new body color for it, hoping that global tech enthusiasts will like it. Currently, the 'Land Carrier' has received over 3,000 pre-orders, and we plan to start deliveries in 2026.”

2024 was also a milestone year for Xpeng Aeroht’s flying car. It was reported that at the beginning of 2024, the "Land Carrier" flying vehicle’s type certificate (TC) application was submitted and accepted by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, marking a key step toward regulatory certification. In July, Xpeng Aeroht secured $150 million in Series B1 funding, and in October, construction began for a large-scale flying car manufacturing factory. In mid-November, the "Land Carrier" completed its first public flight and manned flight at the China Airshow and Guangzhou Auto Show, attracting numerous orders.

Previously, Xpeng Aeroht announced plans to establish a nationwide flying experience network for individual users, including setting up flying camps along classic tourist routes.

Wang Tan mentioned that the "Land Carrier" has been revealed in two vehicle colors so far, and the mass-production models are expected to be offered in four colors to meet the personalized needs of different customers. Starting from January 2025, Xpeng Aeroht will launch the "Enjoy Flying Plan" in multiple cities across the country for potential customers. This includes static product appreciation, flight simulator experiences, camp flight experiences, product test drives and test flights, and flight training, among other activities. The plan will cover dozens of cities in China and will prioritize cities and regions with higher customer registrations.

As an essential part of Xpeng’s smart mobility ecosystem, Gu Hongdi, vice chairman and president of Xpeng Motors, stated: "We define ourselves as 'explorers of future mobility,' which means Xpeng is not just an automobile company. We are also deeply engaged in fields like low-altitude travel and bipedal robots. Our common goal is to make transportation simpler, smarter, and more efficient for everyone."
